Memorial Oak Dedicated in Honor of Lui-Heung Chan

Chan Memorial Plaque

Lui-Heung Chan, Charles L. Jones Professor of Geology & Geophysics, passed away in November 2007. Chan led a distinguished career meticulously investigating the geochemistry and trace elements of the Earth's Crust and oceans. On Friday, May 9, 2008, her family, friends, and colleagues honored her with a Memorial Oak Dedication. The oak is located on the LSU campus on Tower Drive, in front of Nicholson Hall.
